This photo of Trinidad Head was taken from the Trinidad Harbor Pier. I love that I caught the Gulls mid-flight. It really conveys a sense of motion. The colorful boats and the incoming fog in the background also add depth.
The Arcata Farmer's Market is a spring and summer staple on the Plaza. It's a great place to buy locally produced organic vegetables, fruit and flowers, as well as baked goods, honey, eggs, plants, and handmade crafts. It takes place every Saturday from 9:00 am-1:00 pm, May-November. I've taken so many great pictures at the Farmer's Market. I love that all the produce looks so fresh, healthy and vibrant, especially the gorgeous reds, yellows, and purples in this Rainbow Chard.
Ferndale Main Street is known for its colorful, intricate Victorian architecture known in the 1800's as "Butterfat Palaces". This building was built in 1898 as the New York Cash Store. I like this photo because when the lights hits the buildings just right it highlights all of the colors in the paint and stained glass.

Trinidad State beach is my favorite place to photograph seastacks; the large freestanding rocks on the shore and in the ocean. The coastline of Humboldt county is pristine and untouched. You can literally walk out on the beach and be the only person out there at times. Of all the seastack pictures I've taken, this one is by far my favorite.
